Concert: Multi-Cultural Salute to Black History, African-American Music Appreciation Month & the 4th annual “Hale Smith Day” in the Village of Freeport, LI. Jazz musics in honor of the memory of Hale Smith, Distinguished African-American composer and long-time Long Island Composers Alliance (LICA) member, and music by living LICA members written specifically for Tara Nova, internationally acclaimed vocalist. Performances by the all female African drum ensemble: The DrUUmatics, and music by the Paul Hefner Jazz Ensemble featuring Jon Burr, Bass and Victor Jones, Drums
