2012/06/03 – Fortieth Anniversary Concert of Long Island Composers Alliance

Concert: South Huntington Library Series
When: Sunday June 3, 2012, 2PM
Where: The South Huntington Public Library Concert Hall, Pidgeon Hill Road, South Huntington. Admission Free
Info: In 1972, The Long Island Composers Alliance, formed by Marga Richter and Herbert Deutsch, held it’s first of hundreds of concerts presenting close to 2,000 new compositions by composers from Long Island for Long Island audiences. That program was held at the South Huntington Library. Although our concerts have now been held in many states and internationally, we proudly return to the South Huntington Library for our 40th Anniversary Concert. As a special honor to The American Chamber Ensemble, which is now in its 42nd year, the brilliant artists of ACE will be our primary performers. All of the music on this concert will be selected works by our founders, Herb Deutsch and Marga Richter. But a special honor will be given to the three winning student composers whose music will have been chosen after a performance on our May 25, Music By and For Students Concert,
